The English idiom “practice makes perfect” is true in all instances and for all craft. The more you practice, the better you become with your skills and the more you become relevant in your field.
Although there is no glory in practice, it is hard to come about glory without it.
It is great to desire to accelerate your career, it is incredible to desire to be better with your skill, but it is impossible to achieve all these or even become an authority in your field without constant and consistent practice.
You don’t become a great designer or developer by merely reading or memorising theories. You don’t command respect in your field by having a roadside practical knowledge of what you do.
Real tech bro are regarded not just for what they know, but for what they have done with their knowledge.
Are you a designer? Put in the hours on #Figma and/or #xd, Are you a #Frontend developer? Practice building with your #HTML, #CSS, #Javascript and/or #React.js.
Are you into #backend development? Sleep and wake with your #Python django or whatever language you deploy. Keep building, keep learning, keep practising, keep growing, keep developing, keep up the good work.
Bruce Lee was recorded to be capable of performing 1500 push-ups with both hands; 400 with one hand; 200 with two fingers. He could throw 9 punches in 1 second.
When asked how he achieved these impossible feats, he simply said:
“Practice makes perfect. After a long time of practising, our work will become natural, skilful, swift, and steady.”
The man who is consistent with practising his skill is the man to be feared. Even the great Bruce Lee will tremble before such a man. He was recorded to have said:
“I fear not the man who has practised 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practised one kick 10,000 times.”
Everyone desires to work in a Unicorn company, but how many are willing to pay the price?
